Elizabeth O'Neill Verner (1883-1979)

This Charleston, South Carolina, native was a major force in the Charleston Renaissance of the 1920s and ’30s. Her etched work shows daily life in the City of Churches, especially among the black population. Her etchings, which she printed herself, and pastels are highly sought after.
