Pioneering Colorado photographer Harry Landis Standley  combined his love of mountain climbing with a talent for photography to produce exquisite images of mountain ranges in Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and Alaska. He also captured daily life in his home base of Colorado Springs. He was active from 1910 through the 1940s, many of his most celebrated works dating from the 1920s. The L. Tom Perry Special Collections, Harold B. Lee Library, at Brigham Young University houses a collection of his work
