A bucolic painting of cows against a verdant landscape apparently is typical of the work of mystery artist A. Millrose. The painter has an extensive auction record, and most sources believe he was an English painter born in the 19th century. Some give him a first name, Andrew, though documentation is nonexistent. Over the decades PFA has seen several Millroses in the Bluegrass area of Kentucky, which is where the current painting was found.
