This American Impressionist/Modernist was born in Illinois. Her art training came in New York City, at the Pratt Institute and the Art Students League, and in Europe, where she studied with British painter-etcher Frank Brangwyn and Fauvist Andre L’Hote. She was a part of the Gertrude Stein salon in Paris and a friend of Louis Comfort Tiffany.
